Christ DONGUI, deputy co-ordinator of the Ras-Le-Bol citizens' movement, was abducted on 25 March 2021 from the ‘Plateaux des 15 ans’ neighbourhood in Brazzaville by plain-clothes elements. He was then taken to the Centrale d'intelligence et de documentation, formerly the Direction générale de la surveillance du territoire, where he remained for 11 days before being transferred to the Maison d'Arrêt et de Correction (MAC) in Brazzaville. On 9 April 2021, he was brought before the Brazzaville Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI), charged with ‘undermining the internal security of the State’ and then placed under a detention order at the Brazzaville MAC. He was finally released on 15 July 2021.
